Who's on the other side of the camera
AN OPERATOR.
NOT A GURU.
EdgeCasts is filmed by people doing the work, not by people teaching the work. Every episode is a real recurring task — inbox triage, the Monday status report, a CRM cleanup, the meeting-notes round-up — handed off to an AI on camera. You watch, you copy the prompt, you run the same thing Monday morning.
JASON STRAUGHAN
Founder · The hand on the keyboard
Jason runs an operating cadence with a calendar full of the same recurring admin everyone reading this knows by name. He spent two years quietly handing the boring half off to AI assistants until the library of prompts and patterns got large enough that "you should write this down" became "this should be a screencast subscription." That's EdgeCasts.
Outside EdgeCasts, Jason runs a Vistage CEO peer group, advises operators through jdstraughan.com, and ships against the same calendar he's helping you clear.
HOW WE PICK EPISODES
Three rules. We only film a task that
- recurs (weekly or more — one-off projects don't earn the calendar block back)
- has a real human operator behind it (a Vistage Chair, a founder, an ops manager — never a fictional persona)
- can be handed off in 30 minutes or less, end-to-end, on camera (no editing magic, no "trust me, this works elsewhere")
Subjects who appear in the workflows give written consent before we publish. Anything proprietary (real customer names, real revenue numbers) is masked or replaced with a representative example before the cut goes live.
DISCLOSURES
EdgeCasts is independent. We're not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Cloudflare, Resend, Stripe, Mux, or any of the SaaS tools the screencasts use. We pay for our own seats like you'll pay for yours.
Where an episode uses a paid third-party tool, the first 30 seconds of the screencast names the tool + tier so you can replicate it from scratch.
